More often than not does this occur. Retailers use large scientific words to disguise the harm these ingredients may do. This happens with food, cleaning products, body cleansers and much more. Think about using a product for your face with the same ingredients as a degreaser? Would you want a harsh chemical on your sensitive face? Or are you trying to regrow your hair?

Alcohol is known to dry out the skin and hair from the outside, in. Alcohol being used in beard washes, conditioners and oils are the leading cause of beard patching and split ends. Isopropyl Alcohol should be used as an antiseptic and in small amounts to avoid drying out both the skin and hair.

Mineral Oil sounds like a good ingredient, Right? Here is a little insight. Mineral Oil is commonly used in petroleum ingredients to add thickness to a product. The name "Mineral" sounds like it could be beneficial but in fact it does more harm than good. Mineral is known to clog pores of the skin and scalp completely stoping the hair growth process. When applied to the scalp it stops the pores from naturally releasing toxins through sweat and cell regeneration resulting to extreme hair loss.

PEG-Polyethylene Glycol usually used to dissolve oil and grease as well as an additive to thicken products. PEG strips your scalp and skin of making their own natural oils aiding in everyday moisture of both hair and skin. If this ingredient is strong enough to dissolve grease, imagine what it will do to your skin and hair!?
